Greece & COVID19

In the struggle to contain the latest corona virus, Greece is outdoing other countries, both in the region but also the world over. The effectiveness on display by local authorities makes one optimistic that it will be possible to salvage part of this year’s tourist season. It is still unclear how the tourist sector will operate and how travellers will be entering our country. The government’s plans, as well as larger EU-wide initiatives will be announced in the coming weeks.

Lesvos Destination

The Island of Lesvos has never been flooded by tourists like other better-known destinations in Greece. It has always offered visitors a low-key vacationing style that makes it a safer, attractive destination in the era of social distancing. The island’s size – it is the third biggest island in Greece – means that it rarely gets crowded. Remote and isolated beaches and swimming spots abound, unique villages and walking routes are there for you to stroll on, relax and enjoy a sense of freedom.

Heliades

Essential when you organise your vacation is also your accommodation. Considering today’s concerns about health and safety, Heliades Maisonettes offer significant advantages.

A place to entertain friends

Each Heliades townhome offers a spacious living-room opening to a large veranda, a fully-equipped kitchen in which to prepare your own meals, and a bathroom with shower all on the ground floor. On the first floor you find two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. Our units are fully equipped and offer the basics for cleaning and changing linen. Cleaning-services are offered twice per week though special arrangements may be made if our guests wish to avoid coming into contact with cleaning staff.

Think of Lesvos then, when you consider your first vacation in the post lockdown era. Come to Heliades and forget the pandemic, while looking at the Aegean from the responsibly distant space of your own summer retreat.
